Install Outpost
Install automatically while creating a VPS, or connect to an existing clean server and run one command.
Server requirements
Use a clean Ubuntu 24.04 amd64 VPS with a public IPv4 address.
- At least 1 GB RAM and 10 GB free disk
- TCP ports 22, 80, and 443 reachable
- UDP port 443 reachable
- No existing web server or VPN on ports 80/443
Option 1: Install while creating the VPS
If the provider accepts a Post-install script URL, paste the link below while creating or reinstalling the VPS. Outpost installs automatically when the server first starts.
https://outpostvpn.xyz/install.shOption 2: Install on a running VPS
Open a terminal and connect as root over SSH, or use the provider's web console. Replace SERVER_IP with the public address, then run the installer command.
ssh root@SERVER_IPcurl -fsSLo /tmp/outpost-install https://outpostvpn.xyz/install.sh && sudo bash /tmp/outpost-installContinue in the browser
When installation finishes, open https://SERVER_IP/ in your browser. Choose a free hostname or your own domain, wait for DNS and the final certificate, then create the owner passkey on the permanent domain.
