Troubleshooting
The common installation and connection failures, in the order worth checking.
Installer stops before setup
Confirm the server is Ubuntu 24.04 amd64, ports 80 and 443 are not already occupied, DNS works, and outbound HTTPS is available.
Domain does not finalize
Check that the shown A record points directly to the server IPv4, wait for DNS propagation, and verify no proxy/CDN is hiding the origin during setup.
A device cannot connect
Refresh the subscription, try the recommended app, test both mobile and Wi-Fi networks, and check Protocols and Journal for a specific transport failure.
